HD DVD signs indepentend Film Studios in Europe

Apparently Toshiba's backed HD DVD high definition format wins traction in Europe with independent film studios.

Roberto Benigni's award-winning The Tiger and the Snow, will for instance just be available on HD DVD.
Sony with its launch success of the PS3 has now over 600,000 Blu-ray players across Europe in living rooms.
Looks like Toshiba attacks in Europe from the content side. Not sure if this will be enough.
