We reported about Roku the new company by the ReplayTV founders couple weeks ago. now lists the Roku HD1000 for pre-order. Shipping starts October 27th. Current price is $499.

The HD1000 can play slideshows, video or music files from its four built-in memory card slots, or play files streamed from a computer via an Ethernet network connection on HDTVs.
