Samsung is making a line of MP3 players for the masses that don’t care for listening with ear buds constantly. The newest of the players to sport the external speaker from Samsung is the YP-K5 4GB MP3 player.

I will say that the YP-K5 looks pretty nice, even if it is a bit monochromatic. When you open the external speaker the controls and images on the screen rotate from portrait to landscape mode which is pretty cool.Samsung also rolled a FM receiver into the unit as well so you can grab over-the-air tunes from local radio stations. It seems for a change that a manufacturer may have actually underrated a devices run time with the reviewer seeing over nine hours of run time with ear buds.
