Google announces iGoogle, the new name for the Google Personalized Homepage.

iGoogle lets you build a custom Google homepage packed your choice of gadgets. Google also releases the themes currently only available to U.S. users now on iGoogle in 22 new locales. iGoogle is a nice and fast portal application. Combined with the Google toolbar, I still can search fast and direct and use the Google homepage as personalized portal page.

Without the Google toolbar, I would not really like the merging of search and a bloated homepage. The simple homepage was one of the key differentiators of Google in the early days. Of course the first thing you should do on your iGoogle page is to add our I4U NEWS gadget.
