The man who headed Orange, one of the UK's best-known mobile phone providers, has stepped down from the top position. Sanjiv Ahuja, who became CEO more than four years ago, says he plans to move onto other areas in the mobile service sector.

"After four great years...the time is now right for me to move ahead with a series of new ventures with the aim of exploring some of the fascinating opportunities that I believe this sector still holds," he said in his prepared remarks. Is T-Mobile UK looking for a new boss or something?Ahuja also held the title of executive vice president of personal communication, which will of course be relinquished along with his CEO position. Some other executive unknown to common people (read: HP's former enterprise sales VP, Olaf Swantee) will take over as Orange's top figurehead.
