We reported about the Toshiba GigaBeat G20 in August. This thin 20GB player is not available in US Stores yet. Japanese Gadget importer Japan-Direct actually is shipping the GigaBeat G20 now for $599.00. Also has the G20 for $599.00.

The other Toshiba MP3 Player, the GigaBeat MEG50JS is available in US stores. (search for gigabeat) has the Toshiba GigaBeat MEG50JS for $489.99.

The unique thing about this HD MP3 Player is that the 5GB PC-Card Hard-drive can be exchanged or can be used in a Notebook. Toshiba Gigabeat MEG50JS supports MP3, WMA or WAV digital audio formats and has a USB2.0 interface. The display screen features 160x120 pixel. The MP3 Player measures 7.2x2.2x11.2cm, which makes it 1 cm wider and taller than the iPod. It weighs 180 grams with no disk and 235 grams with the drive inserted.
