Sony introduced now VAIO TZ notebooks with the VGN-TZ170NB and VGN-TZ191NX in the US.

The new Sony VAIO TZ notebooks come in classic black, premium carbon, champagne gold, and hand-painted Bordeaux.

Feature highlights of the Sony VAIO TZ VGN-TZ170NB include 11.1 inch WXGA XBRITE-HiColor screen, Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor U7500, 100GB HDD, 802.11n WiFi, 4-7.5 hours battery life, integrated Motion Eye camera, low 2.7lbs weight and less than 1 inch thin.The high-end Sony VGN-TZ191NX features carbonfiber casing, 32GB SSD drive, 2GB RAM, 11.1 inch WXGA XBRITE-HiColor screen, Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor U7600, 802.11n WiFi and Motion Eye camera.

The standard VAIO TZ notebook will start at about $2,200, while the flash-based model will go for around $3,200. Both new Sony notebooks will ship in August.
