If you have ever been to video game shows or LAN parties where professional gamers were playing and though that you could beat them? Circuit city is giving gamers a chance to prove it and earn a spot in the World Cyber Games.

A tour will be staged at select Circuit city stores on August 2-10 and winners from the stores will go on to compete in Regional Qualifying tournaments to vie for one of 56 wildcard spots to get into the full tournament.

Stops for the tour will include stores in New York city, Indianapolis, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Specially equipped motor coaches will be there for the contests loaded with flat-screen HDTVs, home theater systems, and camcorders from Samsung plus Xbox 360 Elite consoles and custom gaming laptops and PCs.
Tournament games that will be played include FIFA Soccer 07, Command & conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Gears of War, Project Gotham Racing 3, Dead or alive 4 and Tony Hawk’s Project 8. Via Circuit City
