New iPod Game Musika Released on iTunes Store

Sony BMG Music Entertainment teamed up on an iPod game with NanaOn-Sha called musika for the iPod. The game is available starting today on the iTunes store for $4.99. Gameplay is simple and designed to be accomplished with one hand.

Any song title on your iPod becomes part of the musika game by creating what are claimed to be beautiful visuals with e songs title. Sony BMG says you can simply enjoy the visuals, or you can play along.

The gameplay is simple and requires you to press the center button in time with the letters in the song’s name to advance to higher levels of the game. "The iPod is a device that revolutionized music and it is now poised to be a progressive gaming platform," said Masaya Matsuura, President of NanaOn-Sha. "Many years ago Apple's tools first opened my eyes to the power of music and multimedia, so it's exciting to release my first game for this device."

Judging from the three reviews of musika in the iTunes store, you may want to skip this one since the reviews are unanimously bad.
