Analyst firm IDC issues its Digital Still Camera 2003 report and listing Sony with an 18 percent share of digital Cameras shipped.

In a strange coincidence we chose on Friday as Bestseller of the Day Sony Digital Cameras (see homepage), without reading the story on Yahoo. We "feel" the Gadget Market.

Canon is number two with 16 percent share and Olympus is number three with 13 percent.
47.9 million digital cameras have been shipped in 2003, up 71 percent from 28 million in 2002. More details in Reuters story on Yahoo.
