Back in June the upcoming Rockstar Games title Manhunt 2 was given an ESRB rating of AO (adults only), which was a virtual kill shot for game sales. Today Rockstar has announced that they will release a version of Manhunt 2 carrying an ESRB rating of M for mature.

The game will be available on October 31, 2007 for PSP, PS2, and Wii. There is no mention of a potential release for a PC version of the game. "Manhunt 2 is an extraordinary game, and we eagerly anticipate its release in North America," added Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two.

Manhunt 2 is the first game from the new Rockstar London Studio, where the game was developed in conjunction with Rockstar north. Manhunt 2 has received praise from early demo versions for unique gameplay.
