Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1000 is World's Smallest HD Camcorder

Sanyo claims the crown for the world's smallest HD camcorder with the Xacti DMX-HD1000. Panasonic had the world's smallest HD camcorder a couple of weeks ago with the HDC-SD7. The Sanyo DMX-HD1000 is available for pre-order on for $799.99.

The Sanyo DMX-HD1000 measures 90.0 (W) The ×112.6 (H) ×54.5(D) mm and weighs 268g.

Features of the new HD camcorder include 10x zoom, 2.7 inch screen, up to 8GB SDHC cards, USB port and ergonomic adjustable design. The new Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1000 will start shipping mid-September in Japan.
