Toshiba expanded its line of AMD powered notebook computers today with the Satellite P205D-S7479 and Satellite P205D-S7438 notebooks. These systems are both equipped with the AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processors.

The S7479 system uses the Gold Edition TL-64 processor and the S7438 edition uses the TK-55 processor. Both processors are designed for mobile use and enhanced productivity while conserving energy.

Graphics on the S7479 system are via DirectX 10 complaint Radeon HD 2600 from ATI and the S7438 notebook uses Radeon Xpress X1200M graphics. Both systems feature 17-inch LC screens and the S7479 includes a DVD SuperMulti drive with Labelflash technology, built-in webcam, and Harmon Kardon speakers with a sub-woofer. Pricing for the P205D-S7479 starts at $1349.99 and pricing on the P205D-S7438 starts at $849.99.
