Western Digital added three other new My book external hard drives to its lineup last week. Today they have added a fourth new My Book Edition called the My Book Studio Edition. The drive is formatted for Mac users and is equipped with quadruple interfaces.

Interface options include USB 2.0, FireWire 400/800, and eSATA. Capacities available range from 320GB to 1TB and Mac software for automatic, continual backups is included. The software will also encrypt backups as well.

The drives look very Mac-like with a silver aluminum looking enclosure. Pricing for the My Book Studio drive will start at $199.99 and go to $399.99. short of the software not working there is no reason you couldn’t reformat and use this drive on a Windows computer.
