Today Sony announced two new Blu-ray players, the BDP-S300 and the BDP-S500. Both of these players ship with a copy of Spider-Man 3 on Blu-ray. The players are also both designed to give 24p True Cinema integration and one-touch operation with BRAVIA theater sync.

Today's announcement by Sony of the launch of two new Blu-ray Disc players marks the next stage in the development of the high-definition disc player market. With an estimated price of €599 (£399 GBP)1 and packed with new AV technologies, the BDP-S300 is is set to bring Blu-ray to a huge new audience. The BDP-S500 is a high-end alternative aimed at customers demanding a definitive high-definition viewing experience. The estimated price for the BDP-S500 is €899 (£599 GBP). Both are available now.
The difference in the two players is that the S500 can play BD-R discs and has support for DTS-HD, Dolby True HD and a motorized sliding door.
