Today NVIDIA ushered in its next generation mobile GPUs in the form of the world’s fastest notebook GPU the 8800M GTX. NVIDIA also rolled out the 8800M GTS, which sits directly below the 8800M GTX in the notebook hierarchy.

NVIDIA says notebooks equipped with the 8800M GTX run Unreal Tournament 3 resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200 with high detail settings. "I am absolutely amazed by the sheer performance of the new GeForce 8800M GTX-powered notebooks," said Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games, creators of the game Unreal Tournament 3 and the Unreal Engine 3 game engine. "These next-gen machines run Unreal Tournament 3 fantastically even at HD resolutions of 1920x1200. I'm ordering one!"

Alienware will be rolling out notebooks using the new graphics cards in 17 and 15-inch form factors. These new GPUs also feature NVIDIAs PureVideo engine for superior video playback. The Alienware notebooks featuring these GPUs will be shipping early next year.
