The RoboCup Germany Open 2005 is happening this weekend in Heinz Nixdorf Museums Forum in Paderborn, Germany.

64 teams from 12 countries are registered for competitions in the RoboCup Leagues Middle Size, Small Size, Four-Legged, Soccer Simulation and Rescue Simulation.
New at a RoboCup German Open are competitions in the Rescue Robot League (12 teams) and demonstration games in the Humanoid League (3 teams).
The RoboCup chose to use soccer game as a central topic of research, aiming at innovations to be applied for socially significant problems and industries.
