Planar Announces Six New Touchscreen LCDs

Planar announced six new touch screen LCD displays today for the computer industry. The most expensive one of the new displays is the PT1915MU. This is a 19-inch display that has a SAW with USB interface and sports a 1280 x 1024 resolution.

The brightness is 264 cd/m2 with a contrast ratio of 800:1 and a response time of 6ms. The price for the 19-inch touch screen is $939 and the display has both analog and DVI inputs. Other displays announced include the 15-inch PT1505MU at $559, the 17-inch PT1705MU at $659, and the PT1910MX 19-inch at $939.

The PT1555MU was also announced at $659 as was the PT1550MX at $649. Planar thinks these displays are ideal for use in health care settings, hospitality, banks and more where there isn’t room for more common types of input devices.
