BBC News is reporting that eBay has announced it intends to take away the ability of sellers to leave buyers negative feedback. Buyers will still have the ability to leave sellers negative feedback though.

This significantly upsets the balance on eBay in the eyes of many sellers. Anyone who has used eBay to sell knows that the vast majority of complaints received by reputable sellers are from ignorance or downright lies on the part of a buyer.

eBay says this change is to improve the customer experience on the site for everyone. According to eBay buyers are afraid to leave negative feedback on seller often for fear of getting negative feedback themselves.
