CNET reports about a stealth startup planning on taking on Intel in the notebook and ultra-portable computer segment with own processor design.

Montalvo Systems is apparently designing a multicore, energy-efficient chip capable of running the same software Intel chips can run.Montalvo Systems is apparently $73m in venture funding and is supposed to make a public announcement later this year.
