Perennial purveyor of pricy products The Sharper Image announced its January sales reports today. Sales from the niche gadget and electronic supplier are down across the board.

Sharper Image reports sales for the month ending January 31, 2008 to be down 11% with sales totals of $15.3 million compared to $17.8 million and total company sales were down 23%.

Sales over the fourth quarter ending on January 31, 2008 were down 20% with total sales of $118.1 million compared to $134.7 million. Over the fiscal year Sharper Image shows a decrease of 26% in sales. I guess Wal-Mart and Best Buy are putting some hurt on Sharper Image’s niche.
