Traditionally sending a post card to someone while you are on vacation means you have to find a gift shop and buy the postcard, then find a post office to mail the cards and buy a stamp. The whole process can be challenging in a strange city.

A new service called Wish You Were Here cameraphone postcards helps you create real postcards with your very own picture using your phone. Obviously you will need a phone with a camera and the ability to send text messages and browse the Internet.

The service works just like sending a text message. You send your photo to the service website and then enter a caption via the mobile website. No downloads are required to use the service. Once you enter your caption and your photo the service actually prints a custom postcard for you and mails it. Each postcard costs $1.99 including postage, printing and mailing to a U.S. address.
