One of the worst things about the Internet age for many computer users is the huge amount of spam that we get in our inboxes every day. Japanese officials arrested a man in Tokyo for sending 2.2 billion spam emails.

The spammer, Yuki Shiina was arrested after his ISP reported to authorities he was sending large quantities of email. He was arrested for sending nine different spam messages for dating sites and gambling with spoofed sender information.

When asked about his crimes Japan Today reports he said he didn’t think he would get caught. Police say the spammer made two million yen from his spam efforts. There is no word on the punishment he will face at this time.
