ComScore Releases Rankings For Top UK Websites For January 2008

ComScore announced the top websites in the UK for January 2008 today along with some of the fastest growing websites in the UK. The top gaining site in the UK was First Choice Holiday PLC with a 140% change going from 1,612 in December 2007 to 3,874 in January 2008.

The top 25 UK web properties overall were much like the top properties around the world. Google was at the top of the list, Microsoft sites were second with eBay bringing up third. Yahoo was number 4 and BBC sites were in spot 5.

Facebook.com gained a spot moving up to number 9 on the list from 10 the previous month. BSkyB held down the 19 spot and Orange sites were at the bottom of the top 25 list, right below Virgin Group. The biggest gain of the top 25 was from Moneysupermarket.com financial Group, which moved from 60 in December 2007 to 20 in January 2008.
