Garmin announced today that it had signed on to sponsor the Gillett Evernham Motorsports Team in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this year. Garmin will become an associate sponsor for the number 19 Gillett Evernham Motorsport team in the 2008 Sprint Cup series.

The car is driven by Elliott Sadler and Best Buy is the cars primary sponsor. "As Garmin continues to set the standard with innovative technology, it seemed fitting once again to partner with Best Buy to sponsor an event so heavily followed by Garmin users," said Dan Bartel, Garmin's vice president of worldwide sales. "We're excited to be on board with NASCAR and the Best Buy team, and we are confident in the user connection that this partnership brings."

Garmin’s logo will appear on the car as well as the driver and team uniforms. Garmin will also sponsor an interactive kiosk at the Best Buy Fun Zone Technology truck at its race day appearances.
