The mastermind behind the Metal Gear solid franchise Hideo Kojima is reported to be claiming that the latest title in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Metal Gear Solid 4, is too big for a Blu-ray disc. That means the game was over 50GB.

I guess Kojima is trying to insinuate that the game is large, hence very good but that isn’t necessarily true. I’m with Guardian Unlimited on this one; 50GB probably means lots of cut scenes and other crap that gamers mostly don’t want. Kojima said, “There's not enough space. We always talked about where to cut and what to compress.”

The game is supposed to hit retail on June 12th so we will have to wait till then to see. Personally, I’m not too sure about the game and I found the earlier titles to be mildly entertaining. The thing that I didn’t like was the elderly hero, when I play a game I really don’t want to look like my dad. Then again, my dad doesn’t look as old as Snake.
