Toshiba Unveils U400 13.3-inch Notebook

Toshiba announced a new and very portable notebook today called the U400. The machine uses a 13.3-inch form factor and weighs less than five pounds. Toshiba says the notebook has a new brilliant Fusion finish with a horizon pattern.

The machine also features Toshibas new sleep-and-charge USB ports that allow for mobile devices that charge via USB to get power when the notebook is in sleep mode or turned off. The base model U400 retails for $949.99 with a Core 2 Duo T5550 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, 802.11a/g/n networking, finger print reader, DVD burner and more.

The high end version retails for $1149.99 and runs on a Core 2 Duo T8100 processor, 3GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, DVD burner, Bluetooth, 802.11a/g/n networking and more. The notebook is available for purchase now.
