Nikon announced its latest compact high zoom camera today called the P80. The small camera features a massive 18x digital zoom and a 10.1MP image sensor. Nikon also equipped the P80 with its EXPEED digital image processing concept.

"The COOLPIX P80 addresses a need from consumers for an ultra-zoom compact camera that offers unrivaled Nikon performance and clarity," said Bill Giordano, General Manager, Marketing, COOLPIX for Nikon Inc. "Nikon is proud to continue delivering the highest quality imaging products for photo enthusiasts and aspiring photographers with a broad range of creative control options and superior imaging ability."

Other features of the camera include in-camera crop and edit along with optical vibration reduction. The LCD on the camera is a 2.7-inch and the P80 sensitivity is up to ISO6400. The camera will be available this month for $399.95.
