One of the most popular game franchises from EA is its Battlefield series. EA and DICE got fans in a major huff recently when it announced that weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company would be available for purchase as an add on.

So many fans complained that EA and DICE backtracked and opted to make the weapons free to everyone with a caveat—you have to hit level 25 before you get them.

Gamers who buy the gold version will have access to all weapons right out of the box. The game is scheduled for a summer release on Xbox 360 and PS3. PC gamers there is still no word on a PC version.
