Case protection just about anything you can put your iPhone 5 through

IPhone 5 users who are prone to dropping their smartphone or getting it wet will want to pay attention to the new Seidio Obex case for the iPhone 5. The case meets military standards to resist drops and has an IP 68 rating for protection against dust and water. That means the case protects the iPhone against complete submersion.

The case has a a screen cover that lies flush against her iPhone screen with a 4-H hardness rating. Since the screen protector sits flush, it has no problems with watermark effects on the screen and the screen retains its clarity. Many cases with the screen protector make the screen look blurry.

The case will protect from drops up to 4 feet high. The case alone is available for $79.95 while a version that ships with a holster is available for $89.95. The case is also available for the Samsung Galaxy S III. “We’re excited for our consumers to check out the OBEX, and test its durability,” says David Chang, CEO of Seidio. “Dunk it in water or drop it! We’re confident you will have complete peace of mind with our case as it stands up to even the toughest environments because of its advanced technology and specially designed materials.”
