UK Government Warns of Antibiotic Resistance

Antibiotic resistance could pose catastrophic threat says UK's chief medical officer. Damn, I am just off a week of Antibiotics.

Antibiotics are a gift for humankind, but with big issues. The biggest issue is Antibiotic Resistance. Patients could die of minor infections as antibiotics become useless. According to Reuters Britain's chief medical officer for England Sally Davies said that global action is needed to fight antibiotic, or antimicrobial, resistance and fill a drug "discovery void" by researching and developing new medicines to treat emerging, mutating infections.

I am just off a week of antibiotics treatment. I hated it as the drugs made me extremely tired. Good news is that it likely killed the bug I had in me. Go Antibiotics!
