Microsoft officially confirms Windows Blue and says that developers will see it at BUILD 2013 in June.

Windows Blue is an update to Windows 8 and will be released this Fall. Several aspects of Windows Blue have already leaked as a build of Windows Blue leaked a couple days ago on file sharing networks.

Frank X. Shaw, Corporate Vice President of Corporate Communications at Microsoft has now confirmed Windows Blue in a blog post and says that developers will see what is next for Windows at the Build 2013 conference in June in San Francisco. More Windows Blue details will be revealed at TechEd.

Windows Blue will fix some of the shortcomings of Windows 8 in the UI consistency and will also add lots of new features. It will be much more touch friendly than Windows 8.
