Instagram Introduced "Photos of You" Tagging Feature

Photos keep memories and Instagram make it more easy to keep your memories alive with answers to "who" , "what" and "where". Instgram announced today a new feature "Photos of You" that allows you to tag photos of anything through your iOS or Android app.

Instagram has introduced today a very exciting people-tagging to photos feature for iOS or Android. The new tagging feature called "Photos of You" gives you freedom to tag photos of people, things and even brands. You can also browse feeds of photos. Its similar to Facebook's famous photo tagging feature.

Instagram has made this announcement on its official blog in words, "Today, we’re excited to introduce Photos of You and bring you a new way to share and discover stories on Instagram. When you upload a photo to Instagram, you’re now able to add people as easily as you add hashtags. Only you can add people to your photos, so you have control over the images you share. And it doesn’t stop at people—you can add any account on Instagram, whether it’s your best friend, favorite coffee shop or even that adorable dog you follow."

The previous method used to find uploaded photo to Instagram was not that easy. But now with this exciting new feature, its very easy to find tagged photos. There is a new section now in your Instagram profile i.e. Photos of You. It will send you a notification when you are being added to someone's photo. The photo itself will appear in your new profile section of Photos of You. You can also set an approval notification to approve any photo before being visible in your profile. 16th May is the date when "Photos of You" profile section will appear publicly.

But one can not add tags to old photos. If you want to add tags to old photos, manual addition is the only possible way. Instagram's version 3.5, for both Android and iOS, is available to download on Google Play and in Apple Store App.
