iPhone 5S has Sapphire Glass Panel with Integrated Fingerprint Touch Home Button

A new report from claims that Apple will use sapphire glass on the iPhone 5S with an integrated home button. This would mean Apple drops the physical home button and adopting a touch sensitive button integrated in a single panel of sapphire glass - how cool will that look? Very cool of course.

The iPhone 5S will maybe look even more minimalist than the iPhone 5. A new report from Taiwanese TechNews claims that supply chain sources say that Apple will adopt sapphire glass for the iPhone 5S display. We heard that rumor before. What is new is that the home button would be integrated in the sapphire glass panel. It would be touch sensitive and even include a finger print reader.

Apple has acquired finger print technology through an acquisition. Apple could be already integrating the sensor in the iPhone 5S. A touch sensitive home button would make the iPhone 5S front sexier. The integrated fingerprint sensor in the home button would give you secure access to your iPhone and you would not have to change your habit on how to open the iPhone.
