Outlook.com now allows users to chat with their friends on Gmail

Microsoft is now giving all Gmail users a reason to switch to Outlook. Today, the Redmond-based technology giant says that Outlook users can now chat with their friends on Gmail. "With this feature, the next time you're reading an email from someone who uses Gmail, you can reply with a quick chat right from your Outlook.com inbox," says Douglas Pearce, the Group Program Manager of Connected Services at Microsoft. The feature also works on SkyDrive. Google chat intergration is now available for some Outlook users. The rollout is expected to continue in the coming days.
