A new study ties Marijuana use to better blood sugar control.

A new study of 4,700 Americans finds that marijuana use controls blood sugar and lower levels of insulin resistance, which would mean it helps save from diabetes. The test results are though still preliminary. Marijuana users are already found to be thinner despite the effect of increased appetite during use.

The problem with this study is that the small sample is not representative. Pot smokers are often young and healthy. The life style could just be the important factor here and not pot smoking. The researchers are aware of this and keep low balling the results.
