World's Largest LEGO Model Unveiled by LEGO Group

Lego Group has revealed the details about the world's largest LEGO model on Thursday in New York. Based on most famous licensed product of LEGO Star Wars, it took 5 million LEGO bricks to assemble full size X-Wing starfighter. This new replica is announced to celebrate "The Yoda Chronicles" animation TV series, whose premier will hit Cartoon Network on May 29.

The world's largest LEGO model has come to reality on Thursday. When LEGO Group launched its new model and give details about the product during a press event in Times Square, New York. This model will remain in Times Square for visitor's viewing till Saturday. Then it will be taken to the California Resort of LEGOLAND for being viewed by the guests for the year left. The new gigantic model is being launched to celebrate the coming soon premier of the Star War based cartoon TV series The Yoda Chronicles. This new series will get on air on Cartoon Network on Wednesday that is May 29 at 8:00 p.m. of eastern time.

17,336 hours are being spent to build this giant replica of LEGO Star Wars X-Wing starfighter. The height of this giant model is 3.35 meters(11 feet) while its length is 13.1 meters(43 feet). Its wingspan is 13.44 meters (44 feet) with a weight of 45,980 pounds(20,865 kilograms). Thirty two masters of manufacturing used huge number of LEGO bricks, exactly 5,335,200, to construct this replica. This model is consturcted in Kladno, Czech Republic at LEGO Model Shop.
