Mermaids Hoax Documentary sets Animal Planet Rating Record

Cats have been beat hands down by mermaids on Animal Planets.

Cats might rule Youtube, but Mermaids beat them on the Animal Planet channel. A new Mermaids hoax documentary titled Mermaids: The New Evidence set a new ratings record for Animal Planet reports Entertainment Weekly.

Mermaids the new evidence is a sequel to last year's Mermaids: The Body Found, which also got a lot of attention online.

It is really astonishing that a Mermaid Hoax is driving the most viewers in the Animal Planet's history. Mermaids seem to have a certain allure of mystery for lots of people. Watch the trailer for the Mermaid Hoax documentary below.
