Acer announces Liquid S1 "phablet"

Acer does it again with the introduction of the 5.7-inch Liquid S1. Powered by Android 4.2, the Liquid S1 harnesses the processing prowess of MediaTek's quad-core chip that is clocked at 1.5GHz. Apart from the 5.7-inch display, the Liquid S1 has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Android fans will love the S1 for its dual-SIM capability and microSD support. The Acer Liquid S1 will start shipping in Q3 2013 in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, UK and Germany, followed by Spain and Italy at a starting price of €349.
