Samsung announces Galaxy Tab 8-inch and 10.1-inch tablets

It's about time for Samsung to unveil its next-generation Galaxy tablets. Today, Samsung has announced its newest additions - the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 and 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3 tablets. The two will go together with the previously-announced 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3.

First is the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3, which is marketed as a device that can be held in one hand. Samsung says that the tablet is perfect for viewing videos, playing games, reading eBooks, and more. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a 1.5GB RAM, the 8-incher has a 1280 x 800 resolution and a 5-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel camera at the back and the front, respectively.

The 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3, on the other hand, sports a 1.6GHz dual-core processor and a 1GB RAM. There's a 3-megapixel camera on its back, and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. Both tablets are running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and they will arrive with 16GB and 32GB options. Pricing and availability has yet to be announced.
