AT&T to Deliver Next Big Thing in Wireless on July 16

July 16th is the date set for "what's next in wireless" revelation. AT&T is to deliver its next big thing in wireless technology on that date. What it will be is a mystery, but a common hunch has it that its LTE network system may be what lies in store for eager consumers next Tuesday.

AT&T has begun a teaser campaign for its next big thing which it is to launch on the 16th of July. While it did not give away many hints, there are those who say it may have to do with its LTE technology. After being repeatedly inquired regarding the LTE technology, AT&T chose to wear a mask of silence. According to CNet, LTE Advanced employs double download speeds. Verizon leads the way in LTE covering over 500 cities. AT&T covers only 300. Some experts say that Voiceover LTE is the new sensation touted by AT&T.While Verizon’s LTE downloads have speeds between 5Mbps and 12Mbps, AT&T boasts greater speed limits.

The teaser email sent to the press describes these facts thereby lending credence to the previously mentioned hunch. One analyst even went so far as to specify the fact that AT&T is moving faster than Verizon and Sprint on this platform. The Advanced LTE technology could be put to use in 2014. Qualcomm has lauded its Snapdragon 800 Chip which buttresses the Advanced LTE technology. The Chip performs quite well on Samsung Galaxy S4 and so AT&T may use it soon. Meanwhile, the computing crowd is waiting around till next Tuesday for the surprise event.
