Nokia Launches App to Upload YouTube Videos on Windows Phone

Nokia has just accomplished what Microsoft and Google couldn’t do on their own due to their rivalry. It has launched YouTube Upload app via which users will be able to upload YouTube videos on Windows Phone devices.

Owners of Nokia Lumia smart phones will be able to upload YouTube videos by employing a brand new application called YouTube Upload that the Finnish giant just came up with. The single megabyte download costs nothing. However, for now it happens to be available only on the Nokia Lumia 1020. The plan that Nokia has in mind may be to feature an app exclusively for the large and chunky camera phone. If you were to believe the advertising spiel that goes along with this app, it counts for all videos taken on Nokia Lumia smart phones featuring Windows 8. Maybe the app needs the GDR 2/Amber update to function properly. Whatever the case, it may work on the Lumia 925 too as reported by The Verge.

The new app by Nokia basically lets you collectively view videos with friends and family. This is achieved speedily and in a smooth manner. You can either select the video on the Photos app or utilize the Nokia Video Trimmer option to capture and trim the video before uploading it. And you may congregate around the video with your near and dear ones by using a Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection. Nokia has used its Windows Phone device as a golden opportunity to really gain some popularity. Currently, though the service is available only on the Nokia Lumia 1020. It will hopefully arrive on other Lumia Series models at some later time in the future.
