Apple CEO Tim cook and the Head of China Mobile met on Tuesday. They have agreed to cooperate in matters of mutual interest. They want to make progress regarding an iPhone deal that is in the pipeline.
Tim Cook met with Xi Guohua to discuss important matters. The meeting was the crux of the exchange of opinions between Apple and Chine Mobile regarding an iPhone deal, according to Reuters. The problem happens to be that China Mobile is the only venture in China that doesn’t offer iPad or iPhone. Though it’s a global giant that has over 700 million subscribers, this flaw remains in its system. Apple believes it can fill this gap and earn a hefty profit in the process. A low-cost version of the iPhone is rumored to be coming out soon. Its price will range from $100 to $150. This will afford Apple the opportunity to enter the Chinese market with ease.

Meanwhile, animated negotiations are taking place between the two giants. This is not the first time the two companies have crossed paths. Before this in January, Tim Cook visited China and held parleys with the behemoth. The revenues for Apple in the region are definitely down so that is one area it needs to concentrate on. The game plan will have to be laid out for any progress to be made on this front. The prediction is that one day China will be the largest market for Apple. Till that day, plans will have to be put in to action so as to produce the desired result.
