Pepsi-Flavored Cheetos Are From Japan

Pepsi-flavored Cheetos are selling in Japan now by name Frito Lay Cheetos x Pepsi Shuwa Shuwa Cola Corn Snack. A cola-coated bag of this hybrid snack food can be bought from eBay for $3.99 but in Japan only as not coming to US.

Mashups are very common in music industry. But this trend is now moving towards food industry. Latest junk food mashup introduced in Japan by Frito-Lay is a combo of Pepsi cola and Cheetos. We have already seen innovative foods like cronut, waffle chicken tenders and ramen burgers. Hybrid junk food like Lay's potato chips, Pepsi chicken chips and Pepsi soda are already launched in China last December.

Frito Lay Cheetos x Pepsi Shuwa Shuwa Cola Corn Snack is now available on eBay too but in Japan only. You can not buy these in US as these Pepsi-coated snacks are not coming to US. According to The HuffPost, the Impulsive Buy's Steve said, "These Pepsi-flavored Cheetos are the latest food hybrid to spit in the eye of Mother Nature. They are from Japan." He also writes in his early review that these snacks mixed Pepsi's “flat cola” aroma with smell of cinnamon donuts.

The outer coating of these hybrid snacks bears strong citrus flavor and cola powder that kills sweet cola taste. "The first sensation, which I did not expect, was a very acidic bite. It tries to capture the citrus notes of Pepsi, but it's over the top. Too lemony," wrote Steve. But the good thing to eat is its "definite popping and crackling" fizz. You can buy a cola-coated Cheetos 75 grams snack bag from eBay for $3.99.
