Well-known fitness consultant Jay Blahnik has joined Apple earlier this month likely to work on its wearable device 'iWatch' to turn it from combo to trio powered wrist device with added fitness tracking capabilities.
Apple wants its wearable device to be the best trio of smartphone, wrist watch and fitness tracker. Yes a fitness tracker. Why we can say this? It is confirmed by both 9to5Mac and AllThingsD that Apple has hired the world famous fitness expert and Nike’s FuelBand developer, Jay Blahnik earlier this month.

It is not officially announced and no details of his job are revealed yet. But it seems that he has joined Apple's wearable team. He will likely work on Apple's upcoming iWatch. So folks, we can see an Apple band working as a smartphone, wrist device and fitness band at the same time. What else one could wish from a wrist device.
No smart watch till now works as a fitness device too. But Apple is going to do that as Jay Blahnik's hiring clearly points towards it. It means that Apple is going to leave all other smart watch makers behind with trio of services offered by its iWatch. But it is then possible, if Cupertino will manage to launch it before anyone else could do same. Apple has refused to comment on the hiring and its reasons.
