Tesla Crash Test Score Breaks the Record

Tesla Motors has something to be proud of indeed. Its Model S has bagged a crash test score from the NHTSA that breaks the record among safe and durable cars. This is a landmark achievement and Tesla Motors deserves a pat on the bonnet.

The Model S from Tesla Motors passed the test laid out by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with flying colors. In fact, it got more than a 5 star rating. This is the first time in history that a vehicle has gotten such a series of accolades. The highest number of stars that the NHTSA is usually willing to give those who take its tests is five. But the Tesla Model S got a 5.4 which tops the list. No other road-faring automobile has ever accomplished such a feat of excellence. Tesla has definitely done its homework. After it got news of being awarded the 5 stars, the company tweaked any remaining small drawbacks so that perfection was close at hand. Thus the monumental 5.4 was won with panache.

Several things went into the goodness that is the Tesla Model S. The front of the vehicle is an engine-free zone thereby ensuring passenger safety. As for the battery cache, it is located in the vicinity of the floor. Thus the car cleared the rollover test. Since the weight was concentrated at the bottom it would not capsize so easily. Aluminum parts along the sides ensured that the side pole intrusion test went smooth as silk. Tesla’s Model S even left the Volvo S60 behind in its superb performance and unbeatable structure. And its roof cannot be crushed despite all the efforts of the machine meant to test the limit. All in all, it provides the safest driving experience you will ever have in your lifetime.
