Apple expected to sell 5 million new iPhones, 29% of Apple customers upgraded to iOS 7, and iTunes 11.1 launches

Analysts are predicting that Apple will sell about 5 million iPhones this weekend. Apple is expected to sell every iPhone 5S that it built and a large number of iPhone 5C smartphones as well. Overall estimates are between 5 and 6 million units sold.

Statistics show that 29% of Apple customers upgraded their devices to iOS 7 in the first 16 hours of its availability. The new version of the operating system launched yesterday and the percentage of users on the new version of the OS is expected to continue to grow.

Apple's iTunes 11.1 has officially launched bringing support for iOS 7 devices. The new version of iTunes also brings iTunes Radio and several other new features.
