Apple to Sell 8 Million iPhone 5S and 5C Units Over Launch Weekend

Analysts have made Apple’s day. They predict that the sales of its latest iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will reach upto 8 million units over the launch ceremony this weekend.

Dire predictions were made about Apple’s fate when it didn’t make any preorder sales for its colorful plastic iPhone 5C. And when the supply didn’t meet the demand for its luxurious high-end iPhone 5S, the clamor became even more negative in its tone. But the latest scoop according to analysts goes in favor of Apple. Apple’s inaction is a form of action too.

Shipments of 6 to 8 million new gadgets by Apple are supposed to take place soon. When you compare this with the 5 million sales of the iPhone last year, you get a pretty good idea of exactly how much progress Apple has made over time. Apple is like a cool cat. It is waiting in search of the perfect moment and then it will pounce.

After the launch, Apple is bound to combine the astronomical sales figures of both the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. This will occur in a similar manner to its previously sold-out 4th generation iPad and iPad mini. The cheaper 5C will sell more than the high-end 5S.

However, if you take a closer look, you will see that in fact the 5C is just a supplement to the 5S. It is not meant to eat into the sales figures of the 5S. Rather it is meant to increase its desirability. It is hoped that the two iPhones will sell more than any of the past products by Apple Incorporated.
