Google refines logo, overhauls navigation bar

Not to be outdone with Yahoo's recent logo refresh, Google is now announcing a slightly enhanced logo that features a refined color palette and letter shapes.

It's hardly noticeable, really. But perhaps the obvious change is in Google's navigation bar. As shown in the image in the left, the updated Google bar now places other Google products in a new app launcher, similar to the ones used on Android and Chrome.

It can be accessed via the top right screen. Clicking the grid will open the launcher with all your favorite apps on it. With the update, Google expects the experience to be "seamless" and free from any distractions.

The updates are coming in the next few weeks.
