BlackBerry has canceled its second quarter earnings conference call and webcast scheduled for Friday, September 27 due to previously announced 4.7 billion Fairfax's buyout offer.

BlackBerry Limited has announced on Wednesday that it cancels its Friday morning conference call and webcast to release its complete second quarter financial results. It is obvious that the financial results will be disastrous. Though the company said the reason behind this cancellation is the previously announced letter of intent signed with Fairfax.

BlackBerry was all set to announce its second quarter financial earnings on Friday, September 27 at 7:00 a.m. Eastern time. But due to the letter of intent agreement that was signed between BlackBerry and Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited on Monday, September 23, BlackBerry has cancelled the conference call.

BlackBerry said that it "will publish further details regarding its second quarter results in the Management’s Discussion and Analysis and consolidated financial statements, to be filed next week."
